Big Nate: The Nate Files

Featuring original content and stories based on the Emmy-nominated Big Nate animated series, The Nate Files offers an exciting peek into the world of Big Nate and friends, including comics, stories, and bonus material taken directly from Nate's notebook.

The Big Nate Files is the ultimate companion to the TV show, expanding on the show’s dynamic storylines and colorful characters in a series of book-exclusive features all about the spectacularly quirky world of Nate's School, P.S. 38.

Each chapter explores a different aspect of Nate's social life and school adventures, including The Prank Files, The Friendship Files, and The Fear the Mollusk Files (all about Nate’s rock band). The Nate Files also includes a gallery of over two dozen comic strips Lincoln Peirce produced for the show. Other special sections include:

  • Nate’s bonus yearbook section of rivals and frenemies
  • A rundown of Nate’s most epic date disasters
  • Nate and friends assembling a collaborative time capsule, made up largely of freak artifacts from Nate’s locker
  • Nate’s guide to surviving detention
  • Character profiles and special features including Gina's spy tips, Teddy's study habits, and Principal Nichols’ tips for how (NOT) to fly a drone

Along with these hilarious glimpses into life at P.S. 38 are several stories adapted from the hugely popular Emmy nominated Big Nate show, including the bonus clips and animated features. Fans of the animated series and Lincoln Peirce's bestselling comic collections will enjoy this unique exploration of the world of Big Nate.
