About the Author

Scott Hilburn is the creator of The Argyle Sweater, a panel comic where one should expect the unexpected—where animals can talk, the imaginary becomes real, and politicians tell the truth. Born in 1971, Hilburn grew up in Garland, Texas, a suburb of Dallas. He earned a bachelor’s degree from Argosy University and began working toward a master’s degree in clinical psychology and professional counseling before interrupting his post-graduate studies to pursue his lifelong dream of becoming a starving cartoonist.

Scott Hilburn’s cartooning career kicked off on the Web group Comic Sherpa, managed by uclick, a company affiliated with Universal Press Syndicate. Online, he was able to get feedback on his work as well as network in the field of cartooning. In December 2006, The Argyle Sweater debuted on gocomics.com. A short time later, it was syndicated by Universal Press Syndicate.
