Phoebe and Her Unicorn — Sample Pages!

Sep 17, 2014

A boy and his dog, a girl and her. . . unicorn?

It all started when Phoebe skipped a rock across a pond and accidentally hit a unicorn in the face. Improbably, this led to Phoebe being granted one wish, which she used to make the unicorn, Marigold Heavenly Nostrils, her obligational best friend.

Described as “Calvin and Hobbes for girls,” Heavenly Nostrils is a beautifully drawn comic strip about the unlikely friendship between a somewhat awkward nine-year-old daydreamer and an innocently arrogant unicorn who allows others to bask in her awesomeness. The Grand Prize winner of Amazon’s Comic Strip Superstar Contest in 2009, Heavenly Nostrils is one of the fastest-growing strips on GoComics, the largest catalog of web comics.

Now kids can discover the magic in Phoebe and Her Unicorn: A Heavenly Nostrils Chronicle ($9.99, September 2014), the first-ever collection of the strip by Dana Simpson. Follow the witty, warm adventures of two friends who discover how truly lucky they are to have found each other.
